Before I begin, I must note that a new member to LIKELOLA.COM, Miss Beth, inspired me to post this quick little blog... She listed her style icons as 'doe-eyed brunettes from the 60's'- which I thought was fabulous! So upon playing with a little style inspiration for her, I immediately thought of Nico, of the Velvet Underground. Now, she was a blond, but the bangs and big eyes and ultra-hip mod style made her iconic, to say the least. She was all about working menswear and sometimes high glam mod.
This is why Nico's gorgeous face is on a print dress sold by Fashion Rocks, part of the Warhol Collection. And for the price, $89.95, who could pass this up when the heat and summer beat is all about dresses that are easy and cool?
And here is a doe-eyed brunette wearing it, just for Miss Beth.

I love Nico! I came upon a collection of Mark Shaw Fashion photos from the 1960's that really captured her.
