Fall Trend Seen in Spring: Sheer Black Stockings

I was planning on saving this post for several months, but as I comb the city of Los Angeles with my style-eye on full alert, this is a trend that I have seen during the day and night, and works great as we transition into Spring and warmer weather.

Now, here is my guide to rocking the hosiery for Spring and well into the fall/winter season.
*Solid color and pattern print combos are key to mix with black- as the stockings need a balance with another black element. This translates into black footwear and even jackets/tops.

Fashion Forward Office Cool
Do a solid dress with pockets with your stockings and balance the look with a long black cardigan or boyfriend blazer. Footwear, depending on office environment- pumps are always appropriate and ankle boots more trendy.

Downtown Diva
Pair a printed mini skirt (straight, a-line or tulip style) with your sheer hosiery. To elongate the leg, as is the point with this look-throw on a pair of black ankle booties and I'd top it off with a silk tank top that sort of blouses over the skirt and toss on a cropped black leather jacket. Kind of 80's, but very cool. The late supermodel Gia would have done this look.

Do a geometric printed bold dress with the sheer stockings and top a boyfriend blazer and sexy stiletto pumps.

Flats and a mini skirt seem more toned down, and are especially cute when you play with color accents for shoes and skirt like this look. This could be dressed down with a cropped denim jacket.
