Dear Lola,
Ok, here's the deal, I love the trousers out right now and have
mine all hemmed for wearing heels, but it limits my use of them
since I can't wear heels as much or as long as I used to. There are
some ultra wide-leg styles that I know I can't wear with flats but
what about the slimmer cuts? I'm 5'4'' so I have appreciated how
tall these trousers have made me look when worn with heels, but I
want to be able to wear them with flats so I can get more use out
of them. What do you think? :)
Emily
Dear Emily,
Darling, you said it yourself, trousers do look best with a little
height to lengthen out the silhouette and give your body (and butt)
a boost. The trouser cut pant simply demands a little height. It’s
all a question of what heel height and shape you can get away with
walking on all day that is comfortable and chic. Sounds impossible?
It's not.
I had this dilemma recently and opted for a pair of navy tartan
kitten heels with a denim trousers. But as the weather gets colder,
let's focus on boots. For fall/winter, my darling Emily, you are in
luck. It’s all about sleek wedge style boots. Here are my top pix
for you to check out...

These looks should definitely put you in the right direction to
find a pair that looks great and is comfortable for Day Looks. For
night, break out the stilettos. You knew I'd say that, didn't
you?
Hope all this helps!
Stylishly yours,
Lola xx
